Our enclosed trailers are
fabricated with 1" X 1.5" tubing for wall construction for solid wall
construction. The undercarriage
is offered in two configurations, lightweight for hauling desert toys (quads,
sandrails, motorcycles) or heavy duty for hauling automobiles. The
light weight configuration is best for fuel economy by towing less
weight while protecting your valuables from the elements, theft, or curiosity of
onlookers. The heavy duty configuration is stronger in the floor plywood and
frame to provide more
support for hauling automobiles, tools, or equipment. If
the heavier floor is ordered you also get two heavy duty axles that have beefier
spindles and brakes.
SIZES
We offer a variety of lengths and widths depending on your needs. See
our configuration chart for exact OD and ID measurements. See our
option list to
configure your trailer to your needs.
STANDARD FEATURES
Every trailer has a slightly pitched roof from the center to the sides for water run-off.
All trailers also get our innovative punched nose which provides an extra 8" of
interior room at wheel level, as well as a standard 30" side door, vent(s), and HD axle.
CUSTOM FOR YOU, at reasonable prices
Each trailer is custom fabricated specific to your needs. Once the frame and
skeleton is complete we paint the wall skeleton for rust protection, providing a
nice finish on each of the frame tubes visible on the inside. If you
want something out of the ordinary we are eager to engineer it without the high
priced premiums that other trailer manufacturers charge.
No matter if it's a double stacker or a single, we can build what you need.
SIDING
For the exterior we use smooth aluminum sides for easy clean-up and waxing.
This aluminum is bonded to a 1/8" wood siding which has a nice vinyl
coating on the inside to compliment the white finish of the
aluminum siding on the outside.

-
We also design and manufacture custom stacker trailers, specific for
your needs. One if the key issues with stacker setups is
weight. You want the trailer durable enough to handle the extra
weight of the contents, but you don't want the total weight of the
trailer WITH contents to be too heavy for your tow vehicle.
At Universal we review the ratings of your tow vehicle and try to design
a stacker that's within your limits, putting in equipment you need, but
not too much to insure your tow vehicle is capable and legal to tow the
trailer down the road. Balancing the equipment you intend to haul
is also a consideration, something we engineer into the design by
positioning the wheels properly. Most all stackers come with
triple axles to insure stability and safety for your target gross
vehicle weight, and they are 102" wide with a 96" opening for the rear
door.
Come in and lets talk. It doesn't take much time to plan a trailer and
get a price.
